Good morning world! You want to wake up feeling great? Here is one way to do it..
Yes we all wake up not so energetic, sometimes it feels like the bed has two arms and its just pulling you back down so you don’t get away from it and your eyes do not want to open so you sit at the edge of the bed wondering how am I going to make it through today…ok so here is one way that may work for you.
It could be in the shower, it could be making breakfast, it could be getting changed or just walking or driving to work. Turn on that music find that song you haven’t heard in a while and sparks some good feelings, that is the magic of music it triggers feelings, memories, it may take you right back to how happy you were feeling when you heard that song come on.
This morning for me everything was normal I am an early riser and I get started no matter what, doesn’t mean I wake up the happiest person in the world, all though i do wake up very chatty, lol. Took a quick shower, prepared my lunch bag with all the essential snacks, drinks and lunch. Walked my minpin Juni and headed out the door to the metro on my way to work. Put on my powerbeats2 wirless earphones and turn on shuffle on my iPhone (you will realize i love electronic gadgets so i will always promote on Freeda’s Blog, so if you have any questions about them just ask).
So I pressed shuffle and what comes on non other than 1988 single Mercedes Boy from Pebbles, this song was just fun, so it completely put me in another state of mind, i was even thinking of doing a build up choreography to it for our Freestyle Dance Class!
This song actually reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Charts! What? So while I am on the metro I had put the song on repeat and it felt so good to sing the song (in my head). Wow! The metro ride and my morning turned out great! That made me look and see what does music actually do to the body? Its amazing what I found out!
