So what I really want to talk about is how I followed Thalia since I was a little kid! I loved her style of singing her sexy movements and the fact that she was always beautiful and kept herself fit. It was also kind of cool that she was the star of my favorite telenovelas ever and yes I do watch telenovelas (soap operas) they don’t last as long as the U.S. ones, thank God, they are more like mini series last 3-6 months and they are done! Then you can’t wait for the next one to start. She stared in Mari Mar, Maria Mercedes, Maria Del Barrio, Quinceañera and Rosalinda! She was also part of the Mexican band that was very famous Timbiriche, some of the other members also have gone on to solo careers like Pualina Rubio.
Thalia has made some awesome hits with Timbiriche that I love and i have to say most of the songs I did love from Timbiriche were sung by her, “No Se Si Es Amor”, “Si No Es Ahora” and then her solo career took off with “Amarillo Azul”, “Love”, “Arrasando” her english album as well with “I Want You” and “Don’t Look Back”. She has remained at the top of the list of my favorite artists!
Recently on a trip to Dallas, TX to participate in a Master Class with my friends from Brazil – Muh Arruda, Venezuela – W’hander Reyes and Puerto Rico – Victor Cruz Ortiz, I made some new acquaintances, one of them Raquel Call, she is well known in the Zumba and Brazil dance community. She asked if I had listened to the new song by Thalia ft. Maluma “Desde Esta Noche” and of course I had it on my iPhone! She said how about we get some of our other dance friends from Dallas and we make a choreography that we can post. Of course I said yes, I whipped up the choreography in less than 15 minutes we had it ready, with Raquel and a couple of our friends we made a few changes and it was ready to go we recorded the video of the choreography and Raquel posted it.
February 14th Valentine’s Day, it was sometime in the morning I was in bed and I hear my phone vibrate, I looked and it said: “Thalia tagged you in a post” I was like “wtf”? I immediately got up and read what she said: “completely in love with the choreographies that you are doing of #desdeestanoche feat Maluma Wow! Thank you!”
So now after so many years of following her she has made me even love her more, I am ecstatic in heaven and lucky to have such cool friends to dance and make a fun video with. I think it was a cool thing for Thalia to do on Valentine’s day, it surely made my day!
